I was very much TORN about leaving home last week.

As you can see in the image above, it’s a special time on The Farm right now, as we are knee deep in our fall harvest.
Â
And in addition to that…
Â
I’m also coaching my son’s soccer team right now (along with another 26 boys). And leaving home means missing games and missing practice.
Â
So when I received an invitation to speak at an event last week in Miami, FL and deliver a workshop on The Great Sea Change, I was TORN…
Â
I’m always incredibly grateful to receive speaking invitations like this – but I respectfully turn most of them down.
Â
And the reason is simple:
Â
For me personally, in this season of life – I’m deeply aware of the fast-closing window of time I have with my two boys at home, before they grow up and leave…
Â
And to paraphrase Thoreau:
Â
“I want to suck out all the marrow of this season” before it passes.
Â
But…
Â
This speaking invitation was special.
Â
The room of people was special.
Â
So I decided to make the trip happen.
Â

Upon my return to the Farm late last week, I decided to do something…

I decided to host a special private session for members of the NEW Mastermind I recently formed…

Where I shared some of my biggest takeaways from the event, including:

There is ONE Strategic Thought that is NOT on that list, and it’s one I’ve been thinking about more and more recently in my journey as an entrepreneur. It also came up at the event:

Speak your truth and stand up for what you believe in.
Â
The more that I continue to lean into that, the more I find special people and unique opportunities aligned with my purpose showing up in my life.
Â
In fact, it’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen in my career.
Â
So I encourage you to do the same:

Speak your truth, stand up for what you believe in, and watch what shows up in your life.
